[NU Sports] Persa and defense

As I reported after the Army game, Jeremy Ebert's grandfather (who sat behind me) told me that our outstanding WR says that Siemian throws the best pass of any of our QB's. Minutes later Trevor his Jeremy perfectly in stride on a crossing pattern, and then Ebert took it to the house to (momentarily) tie the game. Siemian has the "Big Po(tential)". Now maybe he will get to show his stuff. He was a highly-touted recruit. He is not a statue like Watkins, and he has some "escapability", which, given current state of our OL, is essential. And he has chemistry with his HS mate Lawrence. Of course, he ain't Persa. But then again--who is?
We absolutely HAVE to beat Hoosiers--and we play them on their Homecoming, which means they might have a decent crowd.

In order for a 2 QB system to be truly effective, the defenses have to
be concerned about the differences between the two QBs. Right now I
don't know that Siemian/Colter offers the same degree of difficulty for
defenses as Persa/Colter.
What we've seen of Siemian does suggest that the battle for starting QB
in 2012 will be an interesting one, though.
In addition to Siemian (RS FR) and Colter (SO), NU's roster also has
P. J. Carollo (FR), Zack Oliver (FR) and Evan Watkins (SO) at QB.
Oliver is 6'4" 235, Watkins is 6'6" 245.
