Bottom line is that we are not physically or talent-wise a good Big Ten  
team.  We're recruiting at the level of an average MAC team  and that must 
change or we will never again compete at the top of the Big  Ten.  I maintain 
that improved recruiting is not something  falling only on the shoulders of 
the football coaching staff but on the entire  University starting with 
President Schapiro and AD Phillips.  If we want to  match Stanford's success in 
the PAC-12, the University must make an  institutional commitment and not 
just show up on Saturday and cheer  from the sidelines.
