"You have guys coming off the field saying: 'I'm playing this concept, (he's) playing that concept,'" coach Pat Fitzgerald said. "When those breakdowns in communication have happened this year, they have been disastrous. It starts with us as coaches. Why are they confused?"

Good f@@@@@@@ question Fitz. I'd direct it to the defensive coaches who cannot seem to instruct our young men in the simplest of football concepts: what defense we are in. 

This is mindboggling to me. Look, NU loses because the other team's better, fine. Outcoached? It happens sometimes. But to lose because our kids are confused about their own schemes is simply inexcusable. What the f@@@ are the coaches doing in practice? Apparently not too much too well. 

If I were Jim Phillips I would be appalled by these quotes and I would demand answers and not excuses.
