[NU Sports] McNutt, Moye and two likely losses. Beat Io_a?

The simple answer is: just outscore them.

There are definitely big issues with NU on D, but I'm still faintly hopeful. I think we saw signs of improvement on Saturday: Campbell is getting better, and I think Matthews has improved a bit as well. Arnfeldt's return helped shore up the front four (actually a rotation of 7 or 8), who were outstanding against Michigan most of the time. Tyler Scott in particular was incredible at times--he's got Wooten-level talent. Ellis looks like a star in the making.

But even with the bad plays on D, if Dunsmore doesn't drop that ball, Ebert squeezes the rock better, and/or Lawrence catches either of the dead-on TD strikes thrown by Persa, that Michigan game could have remained a shoot-out to the end. That's a lot of if's, but it shows the talent is there. They just need to perform better, longer.

Persa is playing at a simply ridiculous level right now, and that's with still being tentative running with the ball. If he gets even more comfortable, anything is possible.

Iowa scares me a lot more than PSU, because they must be crazy motivated to beat NU. But it sure likes like both Iowa and PSU have a lot of issues.
