Only a few more days until a trip to Evanston for some under-the-lights football. I'd feel a lot better if we had hung on last week, but at least with Persa playing we have a chance. After that, a quick midwestern visit and back to Arizona, where fall has finally arrived and I might finally get to the standings over break. :) But first, BIG TEN HOME OPENER!!!

MY PICKS========GAME 1: ILLINOIS ... The Illini are living a charmed existence right now and could find themselves 9-0 soon ... what the heck???GAME 2: IOWA ... PSU is hung up on a QB controversy, the Hog-eyes are rested and Ferentz has owned JoePa lately
GAME 3: PURDUE ... Someone has to win this game, right?
GAME 4: NEBRASKA ... Buckeye fans better get used to punting this season. A lot of punting. This one gets ugly.
GAME 5: LSU ... The Gators got beat up by Bama and will get another licking this week
GAME 6: OKLAHOMA ... Still not a believer in the Sooners, but not one in the Horns either
GAME 7: AUBURN ... Speaking of overrated teams I don't believe in, Pig Sooey anyone?
GAME 8: MISSOURI ... The Cats have some big wins, but Mizzou is a classic trap game
GAME 9: TEXAS A&M ... Tech won't be unbeaten much longer once conference play begins
GAME 10: VIRGINIA TECH ... Hokies bounce back at home, but it's a squeaker

GAME X: NORTHWESTERN ... I can't hope our D stops anyone, but I can hope that Persa lights it up with aggressive play calling and matches Robinson ... 54-51 sound 'bout right?
