Inexcusable might be the only word to describe today.

There's just no excuse for taking a 28-10 lead in the 3rd quarter and losing.
There's just no excuse for getting 3 turnovers and still losing.
There's just no excuse for offensive play calling that turns so bland and predictable after getting a lead.
There's just no excuse for a secondary that can't get within 20 yards of a receiver.

There's no excuse for losing this game.

The scary thing, though, is that this is the type of devastating defeat that can devastate a season.

Army was disappointing, but we could point to the lack of Persa, the weird offense, etc.

We have Michigan, Iowa, Penn State and Nebraska in the next five weeks -- if this team doesn't shake off this loss and learn from it in a hurry, this could be a Sparty Slide type of deal.

It's gut check time for the Cats as a 4-0 start has turned into a 2-2 reality. Fitz needs to snap some sense into his offensive coordinator's play calling and into his defensive coordinator's secondary coverage schemes. And someone on the team need to step up and get the unity back so that there aren't fingers pointed and that they're ready for Michigan next week.
