Yeah, Persa is still getting the hang of things. But ...

Persa + Dunsmore = TD
Persa + Ebert = TD

It's just good to see those equations back in our formula.

Also like the mix of run and pass today by the offense. It was good to hear the announcers say McCall mentioned the importance of running between the tackles as much as the outside runs.

As for the D, the front seven are doing a great job on the Illinois run game and in getting pressure. Wish we could have had this type of game from them two weeks ago, but at least it appears they're actively trying to take one aspect of the Ill-ini's game away and improving against the run.

The secondary, however, is having some big-time lapses ... thankfully Ill-noise self destructed on that final drive of the half or we'd be in a tie game right now. Still, a FG was a bummer to end the half.

PS - That Illini player should have been thrown out of the game for that low blow cheap shot down by the goal line. But the refs may have made up for that with the offensive pass interference to take away Ill-noise's TD. Cheaters never prosper! :)
