That might swing the pendulum a bit too much in the other direction,
and it would have even more players practicing in the hottest part
of the year, increasing the risk of injuries.

However most schools spend only about half of their bowl practice
time preparing for their bowl opponent, the rest is looking at players 
likely to be on next year's team.
