Sons and Daughters,

The regular season
is over and our beloved Cats are 6-6. Barring some unforeseen circumstances
Northwestern should be accepting a 4th consecutive bowl bid on
Sunday.

What Coach Fitz has
done for our program is simply amazing (although entirely expected).
Northwestern football has not had a losing season in five years. For those of
us who became purple prior to 1995 this is a streak we could never have
imagined.

This Friday
(December 2nd) is Coach Fitz’s 37th birthday. I hope you
will join me in thanking Fitz for his efforts by making a $51 donation to the
University on December 2nd. There is a donation link on main website www.northwestern.edu. Select whatever
school or program you wish.

As an alum and as a
fan I think it’s important that we express our gratitude to our coach. Fitz
represents our alma mater in all the right ways. He recruits great players who
value education and make our university proud. He is full of purple pride and
his sideline energy is infectious. Did I mention that he beat Nebraska?

I often here fans
of other schools say things like, “Fitz is a great coach but you guys will
never have a program like Penn State or Ohio State.” I just smile and say, “exactly.”
In Fitz We Trust.

Victory &
Honor,
Jim
