Yeah. It makes sense for The Bruins  not to  apply for a waiver assuming  they lose to Oregon

Giving up a low level  bowl game is a small cost  and it allows them  an extra month to get going on  a new direction after the expected sacking of Neuheisal

ESPN's Pac 12 blogger doesn't think that UCLA will apply for an
waiver to play in a bowl game if they lose to Oregon.  That
would leave the Pac 12 two teams short of meeting all its 
bowl committments, assuming they get an at-large BCS slot.
