[NU Sports] SJT's timing point was right ....

With all due respect to SJT, I like having Jim Delany going to bat for our league in the fight for bowl slots. I like to think Jim Delany would take unfair advantage of his grandmother (or a contemporary) if it helped the Big Ten members.
And Zooker is down 27-7 near the end of the 3rd. The risk, however, is that Illinois might someday hire an outstanding coach...

OK, I should explain the Delaney jabs.
It was at an NU hoops game following the Rose Bowl season where Delaney came to
present the Big Ten championship trophy to Coach Barnett and the "North Caro ...
oops ... Northwestern" Wildcats.
I would agree that for the most part, he's made good decisions for the league
... but he is part of the B(C)S Cartel of Six who makes the rules and did come
up with those division names.
So NO MERCY! :)
GO CATS!!!

At least get the man's name right before you rip him ... DELANY!
Anyway, while Delany deserves much abuse for various dunderheaded decisions, I
doubt he had much to do with the name of the Iowa-Nebraska trophy.
I like Farmageddon myself.
