[NU Sports] Teddy G's Bowl Projections

Thoughts:
1) All of these bowl predictions are somewhat irrelevant, in my view,
until we know whether we beat MSU tomorrow, and I'm predicting that we
will. I think MSU will play all of its starters like a regular game,
but they won't have the same motivation as usual to win a road game
(not their senior day) when they've already got the division locked
up. Plus, we've got a lot of motivation to win to secure a bowl game
and we've often done well on senior day (see Wisconsin 2009 etc.). So
for two teams that have been hot and cold at times this season, I
think we'll be hot tomorrow and Michigan State cold.
2) I'd love to see the 'Cats play Louisiana-Lafayette in New Orleans,
as I'm a native of Lafayette, Louisiana and my parents taught at ULL
for many years.. The Cajuns haven't been to a bowl in 40 years.
Unless we really screwed up, we would beat them handily. But since
we're going to win tomorrow, we won't fall that far (though I suppose
the Pizza bowl remains a possibility even at 7-5 and I think we'd
prefer to see us in the "Mercedes Benz Superdome" over "Ford
Field" (that's really the new name of what used to be the "Louisiana
Superdome")).
