[NU Sports] Skip's Blog....

The first paragraph of Skip Mylenski's blog on the NUSports.com page feigns ignorance on
why the Cats were so good on the first 3 series, then came back later with another hot
knife thru butter drive.

In all 4 of those drives, the Cats were running their hurry-up offense, the one that keeps
defensive linemen panting, and linebackers on their heels. You could plainly see that
Minny's D was out of position on many plays, and NU used a quick snap to get the ball
moving fast.

Once they had the 3 TD lead, they went back to a slower pace that burned the clock, and
probably save the D some field time, but was less effective as Minny could organize their
blitzes, and get everyone in the right place.

My prescription for MSU?

No Huddle - Quick Snaps - score early and often.
