OK, we owe MSU for the last few years ... and they won't have as much to play for now that they won the division. Let's come out on fire and keep it up for four quarters and BEAT SPARTY next week to cap off the season and ensure a bowl bid!

So quick roundup of bowl hopes ...

NORTHWEST DIVISION
- MSU: Next week is meaningless. They won't get a B(C)S bid, so it's win in Indy and smell Roses or Florida again.
- Michigan: LOTS on the line next week. Not only a chance to beat the big Scarlet menace for the first time in a LONG time, but they're playing to finish the season strong and get a B(C)S berth (and possible coach of the year for Hoke).
- Nebraska/Iowa: Not much to play for in the first "Farmageddon" except pride and bowl positioning. Phoenix probably gets the winner.
- Northwestern: LOTS to play for next week, including Sparty payback and ensuring a bowl position. 6-6 just might not cut it.
- Minnesota: We need to cheer for them to beat Illinois so the Illini finish 6-6 on a 6-game losing skid and are lower than us in bowl desirability.

SOUTHEAST DIVISION
- Wisconsin/PSU: It's all on the line in Madison for a trip to Indy and it's the only way either is getting in a B(C)S bowl.
- OSU: Still LOTS to play for - could wind up in Indy if they win tonight and beat Michigan next week while Wisky wins at home, plus could move up in bowl pecking order since sanctions probably won't come this year.
- Purdue: NEED a win next week to get to 6-6.
- Illinois: NEED a win next week to stop the bleeding.
- Indiana: All they have left is the bucket ... and we gotta hope the Hoosiers win to help our case.

So we're cheering for Indiana, Minnesota and Michigan next week for our bowl hopes ... and of course the main mission is to BEAT SPARTY!!!

GO CATS!!!
