[NU Sports] Charleston Classic Final (Championship Game)

Paul,

Coming from a New York, NU and Columbia educated lawyer calling anything "butt ugly" I drew the conclusion that....it was pretty damn ugly. I remember you fussing about how lousy that game was, what with how excited you were to see our beloved Cats so close to home. Years ago I remember my Eagles beating Detroit 11-6 (not a misprint) in a game which featured as many penalties as yards (OK, a bit of an exaggeration).

I'm still on board if we go 6-6 that we end up in New York or DC as an at-large pick. But first things first; we get by Minnesota with a 31-24 win. GO CATS!! Eric

Well, it's a match-up of NU vs. Seton Hall (which beat St. Joseph's to reach the
final this evening). Interestingly, Virginia Commonwealth, last year's
Cinderalla at "The Dance", was knocked out in first round.

I was among the (un)fortunate, along with then-President Henry Bienen, who saw
NU play Seton Hall at the Meadowlands (Izod Center) about 3 years ago. That game
set back the game of basketball to the era of James Naismith and peach baskets.
Although we went down 15-2 early, we came back and won the contest, which was
butt ugly. Hopefully, this Sunday's game will be well-played and NU will again
emerge triumphant.
