List Friends,
As some of you may be aware, I attended Columbia University School of Law. As a consequence, I thus matriculated at the two universities with the longest losing streets in FBS history. That fact was brought home to me yet again when I read the following article from today's NY POST online: http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/columbia_bans_band_from_final_home_hIaVkDsEOjtn5TnRmccrYO

The Columbia Administration has prohibited the Band from participating in the Lions' final home game this Saturday, due to their sarcastic (I would say hysterical) re-write of "Roar Lions Roar", Columbia's fight song. Those of you who were in NUMB will probably appreciate this story the most. All I know is that I was laughing out loud at my office desk when I read it. The "new" lyrics are a scream (maybe a roar, too).

I am proud to say that I could never bring myself to travel 100 blocks (about 5 miles) north of the Law School (on the Main Campus) to attend a Columbia football game--although I did have a good time watching the hoops team play. Ivy League football just didn't make it for me, after watching the Big Ten at NU.

Anyway, laugh away,

Paul (Lion) Levinson
