[NU Sports] fitz article in ohila daily news

Nobody in the first coaching tier (guys who are having national success
coaching now, or who have had a history of national success) is going to
touch PSU until the dust has settled. That's why OSU had to appoint
Fickle. OSU won't get their real replacement for Tressel until the NCAA
has weighed in on what additional penalties will be imposed.

PSU won't get a new coach until all of the various threads including the
NCAA have played out. In the case of PSU, that could be years. Don't
know if they will be able to keep Bradley for that long, but if they
replace Bradley it will likely be similar what UoM did with Brady Hoke.
It will be a PSU alum who, as Hoke said, would walk to Happy Valley if
that's what it took to get the job.

As has been said earlier, I think the 10 year contract extension in the
offseason plus the facilities upgrade plan recently presented to the
trustees and Phillips' own 10 year extension have all made a Fitz
departure
less likely. Plus, look at the aftermath PSU will be facing and who
would
want to uproot a large family who is close to where they grew up to move
to
an entirely different region, follow a near-diety, and deal with one of
the
messiest off-field situations ever? IMHO Fitz is wise enough to stay
away
(remember Fitz never formally interviewed with Michigan last offseason)
even IF PSU comes calling (and I find that unlikely).
