Both of Persa's picks were thrown into the wind, and in once case, Colter should have come
back for the ball.
Next year, Colter will want his WR's to do that for him.

send our green kicker in to try a 41 yard field goal. It was 4th and 2 after very
conservative 3rd and 5 hand-off in which it appeared we were going to "go for it" on 4th
down; the situation screamed for it. He missed it. This week, at home vs. Rice with no
pressure up 21-0 its 4th and 9, and we don't let the same kicker try a 41 yarder? I
didn't get that... Maybe working on 4th and long yardage situations?

is new:)
Unless one has a proven kicker, the decisions are probably made based
on game day circumstances, such as what the wind is and how the kicker
was doing during warmups.
