Gutsy call indeed and good news for the Cartel conferences to get two B(C)S teams.
Unless Houston runs the table -- in which case, we'd probably have a situation more like Hawaii where they'd get crushed than with Utah/Boise/TCU where they win (they barely beat UCLA in OT!). Plus, high school games in Houston get more fans than Cougar games.
So we gotta hope someone beats Houston - then it's pretty set. The Big Least is lucky they get one team, yet alone two. The ACC's only ranked teams will play each other in front of a dozen or so friends and family for their title game. And Notre Dame plays Stanford at the end of the year, which will knock one of those out.
So unless Houston slips in or they change the two-per-league rule, it's double dipping time for the SEC, Little XII, Pac 12 and Big Ten. And as I said, I think the winner of next week's UNL/Michigan game would be in the seat for that extra spot.
And while I feel bad for Boise, at least it's some good news for our bowl hopes. Now let's beat those Gophers!
Go Cats!

Subject: [NU Sports] BCS-busted
TCU took a big gamble going for 2 to take the lead with around a minute left in the game,
and the officials seemed to be on Boise State's side with a couple of questionable
calls on the final drive, but at the end of the game Boise State's kicker missed a 37 yard
field goal wide right, and Boise State's perfect season is busted.
That might give the Big Ten a slightly better shot at two BCS slots, which would
be good news for both Northwestern and Purdue.
