Three things we now know (and no, it's not a Rick Perry joke) ...

* The Smug Smirk is back in control of his destiny to Indianapolis and a likely rematch with Sparty (blech)

* Purdue's win and the lack of a strong second B(C)S candidate could make our bowl push extra tough
(I suppose the winner of next week's UNL/Michigan game if they win out would be our best bet for an at-large berth with a big name and 10 wins but not coming off a title game loss)

* Nebraska fans will be cheering for Northwestern and wearing purple and white in a couple weeks.

All we can do is take care of our own business -- beat Minny and we have a shot, beat MSU as well and we're in.
