Odd that this story doesn't cite Judge Crater, which seems much more
on point than Cooper, Earhart or Hoffa.  I guess the writer is too young 
to know that one.  Or Karen Silkwood, for you conspiracy buffs.

I keep wondering why this came as such a shock to Penn State officials,
including the Board of Trustees.  As I understand it, the Grand Jury started 
working on this something like 18 months ago, and the current Governor of
Pennsylvania was clearly aware of the case from when he was the
Attorney General.

Paterno and others all testified in front of the Grand Jury, people HAD 
to know it was likely to come out, and wasn't going to look good when it did.
