[NU Sports] one angle I wonder about

Let's see, kill PSU Football for 2 years,

Well, all of the Big 10 helped put PSU in their exalted status, so maybe ALL of the Big 10
should shut down for 2 years.

That would sure send a message to those trustees all over the country that we mean
business.

There is an old joke about large organizations that when something fails, you reward the
guilty and punish the innocent. Killing PSU Football is a classic case of punishing the
innocent, regardless of whether they are guilty of other things we don't know about.
They've already punished the suspected... so much for innocent until proven guilty.

Dumping JoePa and putting the rest of the staff on a short list will effect PSU's
recruiting immediately, and unless the PSU team decides to win out, finishing in the chase
for the Big 10 title game is going to be a long haul too, IMHO.

(and remember the custodian in Seaford who was accused, lost everything, and never even
went to trial.)

Stephen,

The argument that "no player on the football team is involved and therefore
they shouldn't be punished" holds zero water. See Reggie Bush and this
year's USC team, as I mentioned before. Life is not fair. That's the way it
is.
