OR

Play the games.

Give the seniors who want to play in the NFL a chance to make their case.

Give the PSU profits from the games to some fund for abused kids in general or the victims of Sandusky in particular. Gives the football team an opportunity to help in the healing.

I know that greed and money will trump this, but I think it is in the best interest of the university to end this football season as soon as possible.

A) Remove Paterno and McQueary today
B) Publicly announce that the rest of the staff is done at the end of the season
C) Skip the Big Ten Championship and a bowl (it sucks for the players, but life is unfair)
D) Release any and all recruits and current players who want out

The school has a lot of soul searching and house cleaning to do. It will take months and months so they might as well start today.

Jim

Not that it matters in the big picture (except to the bean counters at
all the Big Ten schools), but there are conference revenue implications
here.  Penn State was in the hunt for a BCS at-large slot even if
they lost the Big Ten Championship game.

Yeah, but if they win, who goes to the Rose Bowl?

USCF is ineligible for the Pac 12 championship game as well as a
bowl game, if Penn State takes itself out of the bowl season, then they
should opt out of the Big Ten Championship game as well.

I don't recall, did he do that for the past few games where he was up
in the pressbox?
