Brady's right and along the same lines I'm a little surprised the acting president will be the existing provost. I realize he may not be involved in any way, but guilt by association in these circumstances is compelling. In my experience, there is little of consequence that goes on at a university that the president knows and the provost doesn't. They generally function as a CEO and COO team, although one concentrates on fundraising and external relations and the other on academics and internal administration. In other words, is anyone really sure theprovost didn't know and why take the chance?
