... And the Pa. State Police Commissioner is now saying the same thing. 

Spanier and Curley and Schultz may escape on narrow legalistic terms but their moral culpability is blindingly obvious. 

Look at the time line here and ask yourself: why was Sandusky allowed to work with children until 2008? Why did Sandusky not get the Maryland job in 1996? Why did Joe tell Sandusky in 1999 he would be his (joe's) successor when in fact that seemed very possible? Why did somebody at PSU who knew of the 1998, 2000 and 2002 incidents not call the real cops? Why was Sandusky not thrown off campus and his office and keys taken away? 

Why didn't Penn State do the right thing??? And how many children's lives were devastated as a result?
