Funny reminds me when in the 70's they gave Dave Hampton the ball when he surpassed 1000 yards on the last game of the season only to have him lose 8 yards on a subsequent run and never cross over 1000

Subject: [NU Sports] 470
On the last Northwestern drive of the game, NU took time out on 3rd down, with the ball sitting at the Nebraska 1 yard line.
I noticed that the big (and I do mean big) video/stats screen in the north end zone was showing that NU had accumulated an astounding 469 yards of offense at that point. As impressive as that was, it dawned on me that if we could just inch that number up to a nice round 470, we would be almost certain to win the game.
Let me tell you, seeing that "470" go up on the scoreboard was a beautiful thing.
The number actually went back down to 468 after Colter's victory formation kneel-down. That number looked OK too.
