I would normally agree and of course no one has been found guilty but these accusations and the pattern of the coverup are much, much more credible and come from multiple sources.
Read the grand jury report. It is devastating.
As for Joe, he may not be guilty of perjury or obstruction but innocent he was not, either.

I think we have to be careful in the rush to judgement. Accusations are easy to hurl. It may come out that Joe was complicit, but we don't know that yet. Remember Duke Lacrosse. Remember Atlanta Olympic bombing

Read the details on the PSU mess and you discover Joe knew all about it and did nothing.
He can't survive this hideous scandal and he shouldn't. Neither should PSU president Spanier. Everybody must go.
It is a shame, but Joe and his cronies protected a buddy they knew was sick and needed help and helped him avoid the law.
This makes your average recruiting scandal look like absolutely nothing.
Joe must go.
