[NU Sports] This thought

Woke up this morning next to my lovely wife. The birds were signing. The sun was shining. The grass was green. The flowers, bushes, and trees were all in bloom. The aroma of lilac and lillies of the valley filled the clean clear air. Hummingbirds darted among the lilacs and verbena. My daughter was visiting, asleep in her bedroom. The dogs were stretching, nuzzling my hand to remind me that they were hungry. It was the rapture. Or at least as close as you're going to get here in Michigan. Don't need the threat of judgment day to appeciate the simple blessings we enjoy every day.

It was right after the Sabbath ended after all, one has to accept that God still rests on
that day, so a major quake would be just too much work.

So now, we of the Christian persuasion must get to work - its Sunday, time for Church.

We live quite close to Oakland, CA, where the preacher who came up with the
Rapture date of today bases his ministry. We had an earthquake here at 7:04
PM, just an hour after he said! It was a little eery. Just a teeny
earthquake though, a 3.6 -- rattled the windows a little bit, that's all.
