[NU Sports] Away Games

Free admission for students to football games ended at the beginning  
of the 1995 season.  They announced the end of free tickets in the  
spring of 1995, and basically everyone thought it was insane as no one  
thought anyone would pay to see NU football.  Then that September,  
after we beat Notre Dame to start the 1995 season, we were all in line  
to buy our season tickets (I was a sophomore at that time).  I've held  
season tickets every year since then.

Like Evan says, more recently, they've added an additional student  
activity fee so that student tickets are once again "free."  But back  
in the day (1994 and earlier), you'd just flash your ID and get in free.
