>From ESPN on the lifting of the stay

"Absent a stay, there will be trades, player signings, players cut under existing
contracts, and a host of other changes in employment relationships" between hundreds of
players and the 32 NFL teams."

Apparently the court lifted the stay which put the lockout back in effect until a court
could rule.

Don't know why the story adds politics to the court efforts - they made sure to say that 2
of the judges were republican appointees and listed the democrat judges also - the quotes
from the republicans sounded reasonable.

And I love Ray Lewis' comment about having time off.

If you think that there might be some form of practical 'clean energy'
that could appease the environmentalists--say, geothermal--you're
missing the point. The whole environmentalist idea of a minimal

Subject: [NU Sports] No Cats drafted?

No Cats were drafted, will any be able to sign free agent contract
or does the labor mess preclude that?

PS. If I haven't run out of typos, hopefully I've got the new system
ready to go.
