I always told people about the crazy marine stuff (I worked COMSEC out of San Diego for a year – including amphib exercises), stuff they would do that would get them killed over in ‘Nam

 

But I also would tell folks that while we picked on Marines, they were very hand to have around when the lead started flying.

LOL.  However, Roy, we did some fighting, too. As a machine gunner and survivor of the Chosin Reservoir in N. Korea, I can attest to that.
