I'm never been completely convinced it was the worst trade in 
baseball history, though it would make most top 10 lists.

(The strangest trade may have been the one back in the 20's between,
I believe, the Dodgers and the Giants, in which a player was sent 
from one team to the other with no compensation whatsoever, and it 
was said that both teams were improved.)

But the Cubbies have had their share of good trades, too, like
the throw-in player in a trade with the Phillies, a kid named 
Ryne Sandberg.
