With all due respect, the Giants had NO cap room and offered him a substantial contract offer, or as much as they could given their cap status. However, Skins offered more and there was less competition for playing time in Washington. That said, as a Giants fan I am VERY sorry to see him go, but to say the G-men "let him go" is incorrect. He'll be fine there. He won't win another Super Bowl, but he'll be fine. That 2007 ring will always shine bright on his hand...one of three the Giants have collected since the J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets won theirs 43 years ago.
