There are also the Big 10 tournament games to consider, so there are more ways 
to get to 20. But I don't think 20 wins per se will get it done. We need some 
quality wins. 

I haven't given up hope entirely, but the team hasn't played well in the last 
couple of games, and, like Alan, that Wisconsin game really put the hurt on my 
level of optimism. 

The team has weaknesses, we all know that. The problem is that they also haven't 
been maximizing their strengths (ball movement, high assist-to-basket ratio 
offense, good outside shooting, hustle on D) lately.

If they can get the offense back into a groove, anything could happen, including 
a good run in the Big 10 tourney. But the two close losses to MSU and a missed 
opportunity last night really hurt our chances. 

And, frankly, the Wisconsin game made me think this team has no business being 
in the NIT, let alone the NCAAs. I'm hoping to get over that feeling.

Also, and they HAVE to stop compounding defensive breakdowns with ineffective 
cheap fouls. I can't imagine how many "and 1s" Minnesota must have had last 
night--probably enough to make the difference between winning and losing.
