I didn't see the game but it sounds like what many of us are saying that without a solid big man we won't win more than a handful of BT games. If we get hot from the outside as we apparently did, we can win a few ,but its unlikely we can do it for a whole game.
Carmody and crew have got to figure out some way to recruit a solid big man. I don't know how,but it has to be listed as a top priority.
What are our contacts with the public league in Chicago ?my hunch is that it is weaker than it should be. But I bet there are a few candidates available each year that we need to tap into . What about at the JC's ? I'm sure there are at least a few academically qualified recruits who are big and can fight hard under the glass.
Can we look at Australia? The local college here in the Bay Area, St Marys, made the final 8 on the strength on a few boys from down under. (Would the weather in Evanston scare them away ?) Why just recruit from Eastern Europe ?
,I'm not an expert here, but we know other schools with similar academic standings seem to hold their own a heck of a lot better than we do

Familiar refrain...
NU had no good answers for Minn's inside strength and Cats' awful shooting just too much to overcome.
