"I questioned the article's statement that Big Ten coaches can only  make 
"official recruiting visits to prospects who have either been admitted or  on 
track to be admitted to school."  

Read the article again--it's an NU rule, not a Big Ten rule. And note that it's 
not "pre-application", it's post-application (i.e. after student has been 
admitted or is in that process). Whether it is for budgetary reasons or 
compliance reasons, I have no idea. I presume Fitz's concern is that limiting 
his contact during that period may leave recruits more open to poaching by other 

teams.

Speaking of Greenstein, he had a nice jab at an old friend of ours on Twitter. 
Lindsey Willhite joked to TD that:
