I once heard a game where Duke came back on Maryland in the final minute - making up over
10 points.

Tuesday, MSU came all the way back on Wisconsin to tie the game, then won it in overtime.

Sometimes you put in all the scrubs and the other team goes on a 10-0 run and suddenly
you're in a one basket game AND they have the ball.

BC isn't the only coach who plays his 8 or 9 kids to the end, but if Ioway had come back
last night and won because Shurna & Co. were sitting out, you'd be calling for his head
this morning.

Just a modest observation.

While the win was nice, I fail to understand why we do not clear the bench when 
we are up by 20+.   1.  It's the right thing to do.  2.  Having Shurna in there 
with 5 minutes left is ridiculous.  Most college coaches that I observe do not 
clear the bench either.  I think it is a character flaw.  From personal 
experience, team unity is always enhanced when the last guy on the bench 
scores.  It is a right reward for playing against the first team every day in 
practice.

Love the Iowa result.

But to be honest, we SHOULD and MUST beat Iowa and Indiana.

I wanna see how we do against Penn State - who seems to be our nemesis in recent 
years as we try and claw into that upper half of the league. Talor Battle is a 
big-time player and we need to beat the Nits along with the Hoosiers, Hawkeyes 
and Wolverines ... then we can smile a bit and get ready to battle some of the 
big boys.
