Even worse is his argument on how dOSU would have been the Big Ten favorite before the suspensions.
He does realize that they are suspended only one Big Ten game - vs. MSU at home - and that might be eliminated if the suspensions are reduced. Also, MSU is not in OSU's division, so the Bucks still have all their division games and a title game rematch with MSU left then - so the suspensions should play no role. :)
I think he's undervaluing PSU as well - especially Moye at WR, who was a breakout star in their last few games.
But oh well, when a season ends with a thud (a cloud-o'-scandal program winning a soon-to-be-vacated title in a sloppy turnover-plagued game), you look ahead ...
Overall the league won't get the preseason love we got this year with OSU/Iowa/UW in the top 10 because of our bowl flop - but we'll be fine. Iowa showed in their bowl that they've got plenty of talent ready to step up. MSU and PSU have a lot back. OSU and UW will be in the thick again. And Nebraska should give us six solid top 20 teams with their addition. We'll see if Michigan gets it turned around, the Zookers continue their resurgence or if Mr. Persa can heal soon for the other contenders.
About all we know for sure is that Indiana and Minnesota won't be meeting in the new Hoosierdome for the title.:) Should be fun - the regular season of college football always is!
GO CATS!!!
