Wow - Les leaves his "dear old alma mater" at the altar twice.

Michigan is left holding a pile of doggy doo with egg on their face after this second straight disaster of a coaching search.

It really is sad for the league - Michigan SHOULD be one of those dream jobs people trip over themselves to get. But when your former QB passes up becoming a legend for 3-4 years max in the NFL ... and then a famous alum spurns you a second time to stay at a school that seems to be tiring of him and is falling behind the Bamas and Auburns in the west (at least the first time he said no he was in the midst of a title run - now his days appear numbered, just ask Phil Fulmer how much the ring is worth after a few years in SEC land).

It's certainly good for us in the short term, but in the long term, the Big Ten needs Michigan to return to its place as an elite program
