The game last night posted the highest overnight metered market rating
(16.1) in cable TV history and will likely become the most viewed cable TV
program ever after the ratings come out later:

I'd say ESPN did pretty well for themselves.  (And, given the fact that they
alone could never have pushed to implement a playoff I also don't blame them
at all for taking the BCS contract - and fans should enjoy their coverage
much more than FOX which treated it as an NFL afterthought).
