Well, provided they can find $200K and a agent/father to steer another Cam Newton their way.

We used to play preseason #1s in our bowl games - now we played a team a year away from a title and went to OT with them. At least we can hang our heads on that.

In the meantime, the endless onslaught of the B(C)S/ESPN Bowl Season (which seems to have lasted longer than the 2008 presidential primary season or the reign of some monarchs) has finally ended. I wish I could tell you something about 95% of those games ... I'll have to look up the results and get the pick tallies to you sometime before the next B(C)S/ESPN Bowl Season begins, which I think ... well ... it appears another bowl has been scheduled for tomorrow with two 5-7 Big Sky and Missouri Valley teams, so it may be awhile is what I'm saying. :)

Meanwhile, it more interesting football news today ...

* Les Miles to Michigan seems to be the rumor of the day. If so, it could be bad news for the rest of us in the league. The Mad Hatter's a "Michigan Man" who can unite the alums, make them say "Jim who?" with joy and a pretty good coach as well. We'll see if it really happens this time.
