Was impressed with the overall effort:
Juice playing most of the 2nd half with 4 fouls, and making foul shots (mostly)
Shurna playing above his injury - altho he landed hard on that left ankle and it appeared
to me that he sat out the last 4 or 5 minutes.
Marcatullio playing way above a guy coming off the bench, same with Capocci - NU actually
went to a 3 guard 2 forward offense and maintained a lead.
Luka! - big nite for Mirkovic, and lots of effort in the lane at the other end, altho in
the last 10, Indy started to drive the hoop and Luka was out of position it seemed.
Cobb seems to be getting over his frosh jitters. He had some seriously good shots drop
even though he still makes frosh mistakes.
Crawford was the only guy who didn't seem comfortable with his shot tonite - I've got to
tear the box score apart and see if with I think I saw actually happened.
One thing that was absent most of the nite was the 1-3-1. Juice was either up front or on
the edge. They also seemed to be playing a 2-3 matchup zone with Juice moving back and
forth up and down. Whatever it was, it definitely controlled the inside game until the
end. The Cats 3 point shooting, forced Indy to play away from the basket, and Juice had
several nice layups off drives to the basket.
Still need to look over the box score - these are just impressions. Even my son Andrew was
impressed with how well the Cats were playing tonight.

And a must. Shurna 24, Mirkovic 20 and a lot of timely contributions. IU cut a 24 point
lead to 8 with two mins left, but Crawford's 3-pointer, his second, was the clincher.

Subject: [NU Sports] As important a half as Cats have had
Cats, led by Shurna, up 40-28. Shurna found a way and nailed three 3s. Cobb hit two 3s
and Mirkovic was assertive. Marcotulio's passing and defense and Thompson's all-around
play, plus IU ineptitude spelled a vital bounce back from the debacle at Champaign. All
this with nothing from Crawford, who got two early fouls.
Crucial to keep it going in the 2d half of this must-win game to get the season back on
track.
