[NU Sports] Dump Carmody - Name Hardy Interim

I'm not ready to write off the season nor am I ready to write off Carmody
just yet. I only write to point out that it's not a question of the style
of offense being incapable of use against major competition being the
problem. The Princeton offense is used by several Big Six conference
schools to great effect, Georgetown being the most obvious but also Arizona
State and before that North Carolina State both under Herb Sendek. Of
course, it's also employed to a lesser or greater extent by several NBA
teams.

It's not the system, it's the talent. The current losing streak is a direct
result of Shurna being hurt and opening Big Ten play with three of the four
contenders for the league title, two of which were on the road. While the
Ill. performance was disheartening, we really weren't supposed to win any
these games, even with Shurna, although healthy we might have beaten Purdue,
and almost definitely would have beaten MSU. Not many teams can lose an
All-American and not have their play suffer. Let's see how the rest of the
season plays out.
