I am opposed to changing coaches in the middle of the season.  I doubt NU would do that.  If Shurna had not gotten hurt, we would likely have won the MSU game but lost the other two.  That would have been acceptable. WE would have lost the Illinois game no matter what.  The Illini were shooting the lights out from downtown early in the game in spite of decent but not great defense.  After that they were able to exploit our lack of inside D at will.  My main problem with Carmody is that we do not play decent defense.  This team has the potential to do well if no one is hurt.  WE obviously have no room for error due to the lack of a quality bench.  That has been true throughout the Carmody era.  

I say give Carmody a chance the rest of the year.  See what the team can accomplish and then decide his fate.  If this team does not play well on both offense and defense, then it is time for a change.  Let's not make a decision based on only 3 games.
