Indeed, I left that part out of my comparison (a hasty one, I admit). The
bare minimum bar for a bowl game now is a .500 record and Carmody has
achieved that mark just 3 times during his 10 year tenure. Over that same
span, NU football has been .500 or better at the end of the regular season 7
times.
In any case I was attempting to argue that Carmody still hasn't reached the
level of success that the football program has under multiple different
coaches. I don't think there's much argument with that.
