> By the way, RichRod should be gone by the end oif this week, which is a shame, since our Division "rival", Michigan, will now likely resume its "rightful place" in the Conference. Will it be Harbaugh or a surprise "stealth" candidate to succeed him?
I expected Michigan State to get thumped badly, and Penn State to
fall a little short. Wisconsin was a surprise, I expected that game
to be more like the Fiesta Bowl.
Michigan deserves what it gets, IMHO, though I expected them to
do better than they did, especially when there were reports
that several Mississippi State players had stomach flu.
I heard more good things about Northwestern overall yesterday
than I did the other four Big Ten schools playing, and I don't think
that will hurt recruiting, even though the announcers in our game dissed
us repeatedly.
Given the debacle that Steve Pederson created in Lincoln, I also have
little sympathy for Pitt over the firing of recently-hired Mike Haywood
(though some for the assistant coaches whose status is now very
much up on the air.)
FWIW, a number of folks on the Husker List were hoping that Shawn Watson
would get the Miami/Ohio job so that he wouldn't be the OC in Lincoln
next season, since it doesn't appear that Pelini is likely to fire him.
