As I said in my message, don't have any special insight into the
relationship between Carmody and Coble. Also I don't blame either of
them for the issues that they both had to work through. Certainly
didn't suggest that Coble's character was an issue and I agree he had
more challenges than many young men normally face.
Coble had to do what was best for him and Carmody did what he thought
was best for the team. I don't know if Coble made the right decision,
but I do feel strongly that, from what we know, Carmody did.
That in and of itself doesn't make Carmody a great coach, but it does
show that he has at least one of the elements that great coaches share.

Disagree.
Coble was high maintenance pretty much from the start.
Fair enough... if you have knowledge of more information than has
generally
been made public.
Otherwise, I we must agree to disagree. Carmody is a grown man. Coble
was/is an under graduate college student whose mother has cancer. To
me, he
has his priorities right. Cancer is cancer. Maybe his behavior and
choices haven't been perfect. But his character issues don't rise to
others out
there, much less me compared in the same sentence with players with
drug,
or abuse or anger management problems.
And, I'm not saying Carmody isn't better than what we have had in the
past. He is. But he isn't better enough to get us to the level we all
dream
of.
