Take a peak at the Big 10 standings after Michigan's win at Penn St. Michigan and NU have rejuvenated their seasons, particularly U of M, who have won 3 of 4. Both NU and Mich. have close losses last week to Ohio State. WE both sit at 4-7 in conference with Mich St. and Penn ST. at 5-6 unraveling at the seams. MSU and PSU play next week; obviously we want Penn St. to win as we've lost to MSU twice.
I'll be the first to say it. Things will get REAL interesting if we can beat Michigan. Every game is a must; I think 20 wins were in, regardless of whether they are in regular season or conference tournement. So that leaves only1, maybe 2 losses the rest of the way. Shurna needs to be 80,90 percent, not 50 percent, but Juice did what he should do- put the team on his back.
Even Joe Lunardi relented, saying NU is a bubble team by virtue of PSU and MSU falling apart. This will be a fun 3,4 weeks and hopefully longer!

NU actually secures the vital last rebound for a change!
What a difference hustle and communication on defense makes, eh?
Great effort by everyone at different times. Huge impact early by Crawford and
Cobb, and then Juice finishes it off. How does he manage to be as good or better
at the end of the game despite never getting a breather?
Great to win one against the Illini. Boy, those close losses to MSU and OSU hurt
all the more now though. We could so easily be 6-5 or 7-4 in the Big 10 right
now, with some very winnable games ahead. But I'll just enjoy this one for a
while. That was a very entertaining b-ball game.
