[NU Sports] When will we ever see another title ?

To piggyback off that ...
In each SEC division, 4 teams have made the title game ... only Kentucky/Vandy and Miss/Miss State have not.
The Big Ten has had far more parity in the B(C)S era than the SEC or Big XII, so yeah, we got a shot.
And in the short term, I like our division as well. Sure, Nebraska is the clear team to beat, but Michigan has a new coach and we have Iowa's number. Figure out how to hold on to a friggin' lead against Sparty and we're in the mix. Plus, as mentioned, Nebraska's rotation schedule is much tougher than ours (and, as "new kid on the block," everyone will be circling the UNL game and giving them their best shot - remember how tough it was for PSU to adjust even though they were supposed to roll over a weak Big Ten).
As for once you make it to the title game, that remains to be seen -- the SEC has been heavily on the side of the favorites, while the Big XII game was more known for wild upsets.
One last thing ... being a "perennial bowl team" ain't all that bad either. Ask Gopher fans if they'd like to have that "just another bowl season" coach Glen Mason back. :)
GO CATS!!!
