[NU Sports] Big Ten in bowl games

We'll see what happens with the Ill-ini up in the Bay Area. But Iowa and NU were clearly big underdogs, so 2-2 at this point would be OK.

I also hate the bunch of all the games at once. Another way the B(C)S is the worst of both worlds - we no longer get the Bowl Day tradition of staggered games because the B(C)S wants the whole 90 minutes or so before the Rose Bowl clear for their pregame show. Blech.

As for Monday's Big Ten games (and the Sugar, which SHOULD be Monday) ...

- I would put PSU and Michigan down as favorites, though not heavy.

- OSU is a tossup ... and I could care less.
- MSU is a tossup ... if they come to play, I like their chances.
- Pasadena is a tossup as well, though if the Smug Smirk sticks to the gameplan, UW should pound the Ducks.
- UNL is an underdog, though not by much

We'll see how it goes. Right now we're par for the course -- winning the one we should, losing two where we were big underdogs. If the B(C)S is all that counts, then we gotta go get those wins, which would put the Big Ten at 5-1 in the past three years.

GO CATS!!!

Right now 5-5 for the Big Ten in the bowl games is looking like it might
be optimistic.

And I truly dislike the 'New Years Day' barrage approach, it means I can't
watch most of our games.
